If you thought the music of Tomorrowland was meant to set the world on fire, you might be more right than you ever imagined. A massive inferno has taken over the main stage of this beloved global music festival just days before the much-anticipated event was supposed to kick off in Belgium.

Scheduled to start on Friday, Tomorrowland is a titan in the world of electronic music festivals, drawing in hundreds of thousands of fans from over 200 countries each year. However, shocking footage now shows the festival’s iconic main stage in Boom reduced to a skeletal frame amid swirling smoke and towering flames.

The fire, which erupted on Wednesday, sent plumes of smoke visible for miles, igniting panic and concern among both locals and festival workers. Luckily, no festivalgoers were present at the site during the blaze, but around 1,000 employees were reportedly on-site. Thankfully, there have been no reports of injuries, though locals have been urged to keep their windows and doors shut to avoid inhaling smoke.

Emergency services, including firefighters, were quick to respond, battling the blaze as it devoured the stage where world-renowned artists like Armin van Buuren, Martin Garrix, and David Guetta were set to perform. Meanwhile, the ominous sound of fireworks could be heard, although it’s unclear if this was related to the fire.

As fans around the globe anxiously await updates, the fate of Tomorrowland’s main stage—and the festival itself—hangs in the balance. Will the show go on, or will the flames have the final say?
