What if I told you that a brand-new headset, created by Chinese tech giant Vivo, is not only lighter than Apple's Vision Pro but also costs significantly less? It’s true! The latest innovation in mixed-reality technology just might change the game.

On Thursday, Vivo unveiled the Vivo Vision, a mixed-reality headset that mirrors Apple’s flagship device in name, design, and user interface. However, there’s a significant twist: the Vivo Vision weighs an impressive 35% less than its American counterpart, tipping the scales at a mere 398 grams compared to Apple's hefty 600 grams.

This reduction in weight directly addresses one of the most pressing issues users face with high-end VR headsets—comfort! No one wants to feel like they are carrying a brick on their head while diving into virtual worlds.

But it doesn’t stop there. The Vivo Vision is packed with cutting-edge technology featuring two organic light-emitting diode displays, each boasting a jaw-dropping resolution of 3,840 pixels by 3,552 pixels. Together, these displays deliver stunning 8K resolution, ensuring that every visual experience feels vibrant and immersive.

At the heart of the headset is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon XR2 Plus Gen 2 Platform, which enhances the graphics-processing frequency by 15% relative to its predecessor, promising crisp visuals and reduced jitter for a smoother experience.

Vivo also offers versatility in usability with two available strap options: a casual solo knit band for those who prefer a more relaxed fit and a dual-loop band for added security during intense sessions.

However, there’s a catch! For now, the Vivo Vision works solely with select Vivo smartphones and computers that run on Windows 10 or later, limiting its accessibility for the time being. This could be a stumbling block for those eager to get their hands on this innovative gadget.
