Here's what we're still expecting overnight... Hundreds of volunteers are busily counting ballot papers tonight, after polls opened for 23 councils, six mayoralities and one parliamentary seat on Thursday. It's the first electoral test for party leaders since the general election last July - and there has already been some expectation management from Labour and the Conservatives. Reform and the Liberal Democrats, however, are predicting a big night. The results will trickle in overnight and into Friday. These are the results we expect to get shortly (though it is important to note these timings are only estimations):
